Devlog #3


Hi all!

I had a few low days recently, so I feared the progress wouldn't be too good, but... It is looking quite nice! In fact, I am a bit surprised that I managed to code all the stuff from my TODO list, especially those things under "I have no idea how to do that". While there are still some features I'd like to add (please no I need to stop), the chat is mostly complete!!!



2nd and 3rd week progress:

Some in-game art and photos
Some writing
Polished NVL mode
Polished Grim's art during the 3rd day (camera, lightning, animations)
Grim's expressions (blinking, speaking) - art and implementation
Added chat reactions (that was a big one for me so PHEW)
The active users sidebar reflects actually active users in the picked channel (also a big one and very inelegantly coded but shhh )
Added online/away/do not disturb icons 
Added option to change MC's text status, online status and icon anytime during the game!
Added some NPCs, memes, filled channels etc etc
@ mention functionality
Broke saves and managed to fix them with the help of the Community Heroes
Custom save/load screens
Tested some small easter eggs
Added most of the music and sound effects
Made romancable characters' playlists (very important)

I believe the next update may come with a demo release date (whaaaaat?)!!!* 👀

I wish to release a demo featuring 3 (out of 5+) full days from Grimarasmius, Tav, and Daemith routes. The first 2 days are a Common route (this one is ~90% done), after which the story splits completely. NONE of the content after Day 2 will be reused in other routes.

*Regretably, the next update won't be in two weeks... haha...ha...
